A focused surgical hospital, close to home
Samrijo Hospital, on Main Burari Road, is built around one idea: that people in North Delhi should be able to get careful, modern surgical care without travelling across the city. Our tagline, Excellence of Caring, describes how we try to work: thorough in diagnosis, honest in advice, and respectful at every step.
Rather than trying to do everything, we focus on the conditions we see most and treat well: problems of the anus and rectum, the digestive system and liver, the gallbladder, hernias and appendix, kidney stones and prostate, lumps and swellings, veins, and diabetic foot wounds. Each is supported by the tests and facilities it needs.
Our main specialities
Proctology: piles, fissure, fistula, abscess, pilonidal sinus, bowel control and anal narrowing. Laser options are available for suitable cases, alongside conventional surgery.
Gastro & liver care: fatty liver and FibroScan, endoscopy and colonoscopy, liver abscess, abdominal TB and GI surgery.
Laparoscopic surgery: keyhole surgery for gallbladder stones, hernias and appendicitis, usually with smaller scars and a shorter stay.
Urology: kidney stones and prostate enlargement, including emergency care for severe stone pain and urinary retention.
General surgery: breast lumps, thyroid swellings, varicose veins, lumps, cysts and abscesses.
Diabetic foot care: prevention and treatment of foot ulcers and infections in people with diabetes.
Cosmetic surgery: consultations with an emphasis on safety and realistic goals.

How we work
Diagnosis before treatment. A careful examination and the right tests come first. The gentlest effective option. Many conditions improve with medicines and lifestyle changes; when a procedure is needed, we prefer minimally invasive methods when they suit you. Clear explanations. You'll understand your condition, your options, the likely recovery and the costs, in Hindi or English. Follow-up. We see you after treatment and tell you what to watch for.
What to bring to your first visit
To make the most of your consultation, bring any previous reports, scans (films or CDs) and prescriptions, a list of all the medicines you take, and your insurance or TPA card if you have one. Note down when your symptoms started and what makes them better or worse. It's also a good idea to write down the questions you want to ask, and to bring a family member if you'd like support.
